Abigail Wright is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. She believes that healing begins with feeling heard, and she strives to create a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and working toward their goals.
Abigail's passion for mental health began long before becoming a nurse. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tarleton State University, giving her a strong foundation in understanding both the physical and psychological aspects of health. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas at Tyler.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Abigail spent five years working as an inpatient psychiatric registered nurse, caring for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. This experience allowed her to develop strong clinical skills while reinforcing the importance of treating every patient with empathy, dignity, and respect. Caring for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments inspired her commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care.
Abigail works with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. She believes that every patient has a unique story, and she values taking the time to understand each individual's experiences, strengths, and goals. By combining evidence-based medication management with patient education and collaborative decision-making, she helps patients develop treatment plans that fit their lives and support long-term wellness.
Abigail considers it a privilege to walk alongside her patients throughout their mental health journey. Whether someone is seeking care for the first time or continuing treatment, her goal is to ensure they feel listened to, respected, and empowered every step of the way. She is dedicated to helping her patients build resilience, find hope, and achieve meaningful improvements in their quality of life.
